Penny Lane joined our family in August 2006. She lived a very full life in her short three and a half years here on earth. She is now a starry angel in the night sky and a part of our hearts forever. The best word to describe my little Penny was JOY! Pure and simple Joy. She was so very full of herself and looking for something to get into all the time. She had a smile and a face that made my world a better place. We sure do miss you my little Pen Pen. |

Penny Lane
(by our good friend David)At the fence, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting As I turn the corner, on the way home, Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe At the cart, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting, As I turn to work the yard. Hat in mouth on the seat beside me Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe At the house, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting As I move from room to room. Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe At the lake, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting As I enjoy their splashing and hide and seek in the grass Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe At the dog room door, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting As she knocks, for naps or treats Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe At the oak, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting As I watch them play until they rest, Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe At the store room, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting Up and down the aisle, checking out lots of stuff Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe At the show, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting As lessons for her become lessons learned for me Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe At dusk, a white shadow, a presence, fleeting As I drink my wine, I look, PenPen slips away, but in my heart she's, Ever watchful, guarding, keeping me safe |
